How to Use This App
This platform is designed to help you pass the Series 66 exam efficiently. Here's how to make the most of the features built specifically for your success.
Mark as Complete
At the bottom of each page, you'll see a "Mark as Complete" button.
What happens when you click it:
- The section is marked as complete (you'll see a checkmark in the sidebar)
- Next time you visit the Learn page, you'll automatically jump to your next incomplete section
- Your progress is saved across all your devices
Why this matters: You don't have to remember where you left off. The app picks up exactly where you stopped, making it easy to study in short sessions throughout your day.
Think of it this way: It's like a bookmark that automatically advances. Read a section on your lunch break, mark it complete, and when you open the app after work, you'll land on the next section automatically.
Smart Flashcards
The flashcard system focuses your time on concepts you haven't mastered yet.
How It Works
- Adaptive algorithm: Cards you struggle with appear more frequently
- Spaced repetition: Concepts resurface just before you'd forget them
- Exam-weighted: More cards on high-weight topics like Laws & Regulations (45%) than Economic Factors (8%)
- Topic-targeted: Struggling with IA registration rules? The app will prioritize those cards
You spend time on what you don't know instead of reviewing material you've already mastered.
Smart Quizzes
The quiz system targets your weak areas based on your performance.
What Makes Them Smart
- Performance-based: The app tracks which subtopics you miss most often
- Exam-weighted: Questions are weighted by their importance on the actual exam
- Adaptive difficulty: As you improve, questions adjust to keep challenging you
- Progress analytics: See exactly which topics need more work
Example: If you score 90% on Capital Market Theory but only 60% on IA Registration, the next smart quiz will have more registration questions. The app adapts to where you need help most.
Exam-Weighted Practice Exams
Our practice exams mirror the real Series 66 exam: 110 questions (100 scored) in 150 minutes, weighted exactly like the actual test.
Prometric Interface Mode
On laptops and desktops, you can switch to a Prometric-style interface that replicates the testing center experience. This helps you get comfortable with the actual exam software before test day, so there are no surprises. (This mode requires a larger screen and isn't available on mobile devices.)
Exam Weighting Matches NASAA
All practice exams follow the official NASAA weights:
- Economic Factors: 8%
- Investment Vehicles: 17%
- Client Recommendations: 30%
- Laws & Regulations: 45%
Why this matters: Some prep providers give you equal questions across all topics. That's not how the real exam works. Our practice questions match the actual exam distribution so you're not surprised on test day.
After Each Practice Exam
You'll see:
- Your score and passing threshold (73%)
- Performance by topic: which areas need work
- Weak subtopics: exactly which units to review
- Recommended study path: smart quizzes and flashcards targeted to your gaps
The Complete Study System
Here's how these features work together:
Week 1-2: Learn and Build Foundation
- Read learn content (this section)
- Mark sections complete as you finish them
- Take a unit quiz or two after each unit for quick feedback
- Review smart flashcards for topics you just learned
Week 3-4: Grind Smart Quizzes
- Take a practice exam to see where you stand
- Review your weak subtopics and revisit learn content as needed
- Shift to smart study quizzes and grind toward 1,500 questions
- Daily flashcard reviews (10-15 minutes)
Final Week: Simulate and Polish
- Take another practice exam under test conditions (110 questions, 150 minutes, no breaks)
- Try Prometric mode on a laptop or desktop to get comfortable with the real interface
- Review every missed question
- Final targeted quizzes on any remaining gaps
The goal: By exam day, you've seen the exam format, know your weak areas, and have systematically eliminated knowledge gaps.
Study Tips
Make "Mark as Complete" Your Habit
Read actively and mark sections complete as you finish them. This builds momentum and gives you clear progress signals. Seeing completed sections stack up is motivating.
Use Smart Tools Over Manual Review
Randomly re-reading Chapter 5 is less effective than taking a smart quiz that targets your weaknesses. Let the algorithm guide your study time.
Take a Practice Exam Early
Take a practice exam after finishing the content to identify blind spots. You'll study more efficiently when you know what needs work.
Review Wrong Answers Immediately
When you miss a flashcard or quiz question, review the explanation right away. The best learning happens in the moments after you realize you don't know something.
Ready to Start?
Now that you understand how the app works, let's begin your Series 66 journey.
